Who we are

Hook, Line & Squeaker is a small handmade goods business based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. If you have a question about anything on this page, email through the contact form or write to YOUR EMAIL.

What we collect

When you fill in the contact form, we receive the name you enter, the email address you enter, the subject you pick from the dropdown, and whatever you write in the message box. That's it. We don't ask for a mailing address, a phone number, or anything else at that stage.

If you go on to place an order, we'll collect what's needed to fulfill it, which normally means a shipping address and the details of what you're ordering. Payment is handled by YOUR PAYMENT PROCESSOR, and we never see or store your full card number.

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics software. We cannot see who visits, where they came from, or what they looked at.

Other companies involved

A few outside services make this site work, and each of them handles a small amount of information:

• Formspree delivers the contact form. When you submit the form, your message passes through and is stored on Formspree's servers before being forwarded to our inbox. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Loading them means your browser contacts Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We don't receive anything from it.
• Our web host, YOUR HOST, keeps standard server logs that may include IP addresses.
• Event ticketing links take you to outside sites, such as the ticket seller for a signing. Once you click through, that site's privacy policy applies rather than ours.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't send marketing email unless you've specifically asked us to.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages stay in the inbox for HOW LONG unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Order records are kept as long as needed for taxes and bookkeeping.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live you may have formal rights along these lines under state privacy law, and we'll honor those requests regardless of where you are.

Adults only

This site sells novelty items intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and the services above use industry standard protections. No method of transmitting information online is perfectly secure, so please don't send anything sensitive through the contact form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Checking back occasionally is the best way to stay current.
